An RGC license authorizes contractors to manage entire residential construction projects, including new home construction, full home renovations, room additions, and multi-trade remodels. To hold an active RGC license, a contractor must maintain a CCB surety bond (minimum $20,000) and general liability insurance at Oregon-required minimums. The CCB verifies both at licensing and at every renewal. Oregon law requires RGC contractors to carry workers' compensation insurance if they employ workers.
